会宁县地处西部贫困山区,地域辽阔,交通不便,农业人口占94%,经济发展和卫生认知水平比较落后,结核病控制工作任务十分艰巨。1992年会宁县作为结核病控制项目试点县首先启动实施了世界银行贷款中国结核病控制项目(卫Ⅴ项目),该项目覆盖了全县的31个乡(镇)50.4万人口。
Huining County is located in the impoverished mountainous area in the western part of China. Due to its vast territory and inaccessible transportation, its agricultural population accounts for 94%. Its economic development and health awareness are relatively backward. TB control tasks are arduous. In 1992, Huining County, a pilot county for tuberculosis control project, started the implementation of World Bank-China TB Control Project (Wei Ⅴ Project) which covers 504,000 people in 31 townships (towns) of the county.
