The basic feed was supplemented with 0,0.03%, 0.06%, 0.09% and 0.12% bile acids respectively to prepare 5 groups of isodine and other experimental diets (D1, D2, D3, D4 and D5) 26.5 g juveniles of Scophthalmus maximus were cultured for 56 days to study the effects of bile acids on their growth, body composition, lipase activity and serum biochemistry. The results showed that: (1) The weight gain rate, specific growth rate, protein efficiency and fat efficiency of experimental fish increased first and then stabilized, reaching the highest value in D3 group. (2) Bile acids significantly reduced the crude fat and crude ash content of whole fish, increased the crude protein content (P <0.05), reduced the muscle crude fat content and increased the crude protein and crude ash content (P <0.05). (3) The activities of lipase and lipoprotein lipase increased first and then stabilized; the activity of hepatic lipase increased significantly (P <0.05). (4) Bile acids decreased the activities of serum alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase and increased the activity of alkaline phosphatase (P <0.05). The content of total protein and albumin increased with the increase of bile acid content (P <0.05) ; Triglyceride, total cholesterol and high and low density lipoprotein cholesterol decreased with the increase of bile acid content (P <0.05). (5) After 48 hours of Vibrio anguillarum infection, the cumulative mortality of D3, D4 and D5 group was significantly lower than that of D1 group. Based on the regression analysis of the polyline, weight gain was taken as the evaluation index. The suitable dosage of bile acid in juvenile turkey juvenile fish with a body weight of 26.5 g was 0.09%.
