Objective To investigate the difference of the oxygen saturation between the otolaryngology and finger oximeter. Methods Eleven male healthy volunteers were enrolled in this study. Two kinds of oxygen and nitrogen mixed gas with oxygen concentration of 18% and 0.8% were used. The changes of oxygen saturation were measured by two methods. Results inhalation of 18% oxygen and nitrogen mixture 5min. There was no significant difference in oxygen saturation between the two assays. Oxygen and nitrogen suddenly changed to 0.8% Oxygen and nitrogen 10s after the rapid decline in the oxygen saturation of the ears, ralph lauren polo, 25s, the auricular oxygen saturation decreased to the lowest value; refers to the oxygen saturation began to decline in the 15s, 30s refers to the oxygen saturation decreased to Lowest value. Conclusion In the acute hypoxia test as an indicator of hypoxia in vivo one of the physiological indicators of oxygen saturation measurement, it is best to use the otolaryngology. In the less severe hypoxia test, both can be used.
