The development of students’ symbolic awareness is an important aspect of students’ mathematical accomplishment and also an important part of students’ mathematics learning. In the actual teaching, teachers should give students more chances of using symbols instead of numbers, let them feel the simplicity of mathematics, let students think more by means of symbols and let them understand the instrumentalities of symbols.
