美国著名的浪漫主义小说家、诗人赫尔曼·麦尔维尔一生郁郁不得志,在其生前,他的作品都没引起太大的反响。在他死后约二三十年后,他的作品才为人们所注意,这在浪漫主义文学阵营中是十分少见的。其中他最著名的作品莫过于《白鲸》。至今《白鲸》的艺术性依然有着极高的研究价值,在很大程度上与其叙述策略和人物塑造有关。本文从宗教原型的运用、双面人物的刻画、单面人物的塑造三方面,浅析麦尔维尔《白鲸》中的人物形象塑造。 Herman Melville, the famous American romantic novelist and poet, had a hard time in his life. Before his death, his works did not arouse much response. About twenty or thirty years after his death, his work is only for people’s attention, which is very rare in the romantic literary camp. One of his most famous works is “Moby Dick”. Up to now, the artistic nature of Beluga still has a very high research value, which is largely related to its narrative strategy and characterization. This article analyzes the characterization of characters in Mobil “Moby Dick” from three aspects: the use of religious prototypes, the portrayal of two-sided characters and the shaping of one-sided characters.
