民主法治、公平正义、诚信友爱、充满活力、安定有序、人与自然和谐相处,这是社会主义和谐社会的基本特征。实现社会和谐,建设美好社会,始终是人类孜孜以求的一个社会理想,也是包括中国共产党在内的马克思主义政党不懈追求的一个理想社会。构建社会主义和谐社会是一项艰巨而复杂的系统工程,需要做大量的工作,也面临着诸多困难。共产党员要充分发挥先锋模范作用：团结带领人民群众战胜各种困难,才能更好地实现构建社会主义和谐社会的战略目标。
Democracy and rule of law, fairness and justice, honesty and fraternity, vitality, stability and order, harmony between man and nature are the basic features of a socialist harmonious society. To achieve social harmony and build a beautiful society has always been a social ideal pursued by mankind and an ideal society relentlessly pursued by Marxist parties, including the Chinese Communist Party. Building a socialist harmonious society is an arduous and complicated systematic project that requires a lot of work and many difficulties. Party members should give full play to the vanguard and exemplary role of uniting and leading the masses in overcoming various difficulties so as to better realize the strategic goal of building a socialist harmonious society.
