从1993年1月1日起,全国各主要广告传播媒体纷纷大幅度提价,中央电视台黄金时段每15秒广告费高达1.9~2.1万元;《人民日报》整版广告费由15万元增至20万元;各地电视台、广播、报纸等媒介也不甘沉默,急起直追。据悉,全国98%以上的报纸广告均已提价,上扬幅度达20~30%。1993年1月25日,上海《文汇报》国内首次在头版整版为杭州“西泠”空调机做广告,收费90万元。《文汇报》这一举动引起了海内外新闻界、广告界的广泛关注。随后2月8日,上海《解放日报》也以头版整版刊出广告。对于能否在头版整版做广告.有关方面、新闻界、广告界看法不一。
