Recently, I have read a piece of information stating that nearly a thousand copies of the menus of many countries have been collected by the Madagascar Fadudida Diacard West, a Senegalese husband, who had been with the diplomatic service in 1973 for the past 17 years. In August 1990, she accompanied her husband to visit China and became especially interested in the Chinese menu. When the couple visited Zhuhai, Guangdong, they stayed at the resort hotel and a deputy mayor of Hospitality informed Mrs. Diacard West Hobby, ask the restaurant manager to send her a menu. What pleased Madame Dekald West was that the menu was actually a Chinese folding fan and the menu was written on the fan. Mrs. Diacard West and her husband greatly appreciated.
