2003年3月28日,日本在位于南部鹿儿岛县的种子岛航天发射中心,用H-2A大型火箭,采取一箭双星的方式,成功发射了两颗侦察卫星。这是日本第一次发射侦察卫星,翻开了日本空间领域具有里程碑意义的一页,标志着日本和平开发利用空间的政策发生了转变,并意味着日本在走向军事大国的道路上又迈出了新的一步,引起了全世界特别是亚洲各国的广泛关注。
On March 28, 2003, Japan successfully launched two reconnaissance satellites at the Tanegashima Space Launch Center located in the southern Kagoshima Prefecture using the H-2A large rocket in a double-strike mode. This is the first launch of a reconnaissance satellite by Japan and opens a landmark page in the field of Japan’s space. It marks a shift in the policy of Japan in peacefully exploiting and utilizing space and means Japan has taken another step toward becoming a military power The new step has drawn wide attention from all over the world, especially in Asia.
