Western myths preserved giant, one of the gigantic image of more rude brutal, mainly negative; and Chinese myths fragmented giants, the giant more honest and generous image. But the original image of the Chinese giants is not. The giants in folk mythology, like those in the West, also have a brutal and rude side. Differences in the origins of civilization lead to differences in the images of giants in Chinese and Western books. Differences in the identities of narrators in Chinese myths have also caused the giants in Chinese folk mythology to retain the same barbaric characteristics as the western mythical giants.
