作为英国著名的诗人,休斯与丁尼生的诗歌中都有关于鹰意象的描述,但是丁尼生的鹰意象孤傲雄健,泰德的鹰意象凶猛残暴。本文从诗歌的意象入手,对休斯的《鹰之栖息》和丁尼生的《鹰》进行比较,通过分析两首诗在创作背景、意象情感等方面的异同及其成因,旨在探寻不同的历史时代和成长背景影响下,两位诗人用同一意象所体现出的不同主题意义及其价值所在。
As a famous English poet, Hughes and Tennyson’s poems all contain descriptions of the eagle’s image. However, Tennyson’s eagle image is lofty and proud, and Ted’s eagle image is fierce and brutal. This article starts with the image of poetry and compares Hughes’ “Habitat of the Eagles” with Dinnie’s “Eagle.” By analyzing the similarities and differences and their causes of the two poems in terms of their creative background and the emotional images, Under the influence of historical background and growing background, the two poets embody different meanings and values of the same image.
