题材的选择作为创作过程的重要构成因素,不仅直接反应了创作主体的审美取向,更为考察艺术家的创作方法论提供了有效的天然文本。德国当代艺术家格哈德·里希特通过长期搜集的大量摄影图片,建立一套系统的“百科全书”式的创作题材体系,避开了传统较为固定的选材模式。最大程度的消解了遗留在题材中的个体价值取向,成功的转向了一种中立姿态,而这种“中立”正是建构艺术家自主性的另一独特话语方式。
As an important component of the creative process, the choice of theme not only directly reflects the aesthetic orientation of the creative subject, but also provides an effective and natural text for the artist’s creation methodology. Gerhard Richter, a contemporary German artist, has set up a system of “encyclopedic” creative subject system through a large number of photographic images collected over a long period of time, avoiding the traditional relatively fixed material selection pattern. To the maximum extent, the individual value orientation left behind in the subject matter has been successfully turned into a neutral attitude, and this “neutrality” is another unique way of constructing artist autonomy.
