The external application method is an external treatment method in which fresh Chinese herbs are smashed, or the powder is added into water, vinegar, or other excipients after mixing the powder into the body surface. Its mechanism of action is to take advantage of the properties of the drug and allow it to act from the surface of the skin or through the meridians to achieve therapeutic goals. Due to the delicate organs and delicate skin, the children’s response to the drug is more obvious than that of adults. Therefore, after the external application method is used, the performance of the drug can be exerted quickly. Because of the difficulty in taking medicines for children, the ancient paediatricians attach great importance to external methods. For example, in the Qing Dynasty, Chen Fu’s “Integrated Child and Young Child” contained: a money at the end of realgar, mixed with sesame oil and egg white to stir up a mess and apply chest, and retreat due to stagnation
