新世纪以来,公众对文化艺术的接受程度有所变化,雕塑家们的艺术思考与对公共性的认知达成基本共识。因此在一个比过去相对宽松的环境中,文化历史脉络与自然地理环境成为公共雕塑创作首要考虑的问题。广州美术学院雕塑系主任陈克教授以多年的材料语言探索、媒介实践为基础,对自己的公共艺术实践提出了更高的要求。从陈克的大型公共景观《荆棘之路》中可看到他以很强的艺术语言驾驭能力,来解决艺术性与公共性之间的冲突,可以隐约看到一种震撼
Since the beginning of the new century, public acceptance of arts and culture has changed. The sculptors’ artistic thinking and their recognition of publicity have reached a basic consensus.
