AT & T specifically designed a new fiber optic cable for cable television. Operators are more and more interested in fiber optics technology into their systems, and more importantly, fiber optic systems are inexpensive and easy to install. In the competitive cable television market, the ability to increase channel capacity and transmit information has become extremely important. In response to these challenges, the American panel telephone company developed a new type of fiber optic cable with a small number of cores, light weight, and no armoring. The cable diameter is only 10.16mm, weight 27.2kg / 305m, and preferably 24 core for the best core number. Although it has a smaller diameter than standard AT & TLXE cables, this armored cable has a tensile strength of 272kg to the level of other LXE cables.
