本文就新中国成立以来各个时期学校体育思想的演进概况,客观阐述了以知识、技能为主体,以增强体质为主体,以竞技运动为主体,以发展整体效益为主体的几种指导思想的形成与演进,以及在此指导下开展学校体育工作带来的利弊,并从理论上论述了现阶段我国学校体育工作坚持“健康第一”为指导思想,培养学生兴趣,树立终身体育观的历史必然性.
