目前,我们大多数英语教师教学思想比较保守,担心学生因为新单词和句型困扰而读不懂英语课文,于是习惯性地把新单词和句型提出来进行教学,经过反复操练巩固后,再组织学生学习课文。这种由词到句再到篇教授的方法在短时间来看,老师好操作,学生容易弄懂课文,表面上看比较有效。但是从长远发展的眼光来看,教师忽略了学生自学能力的培养,这种方法没有留给学生独立思考的时间和空间,缺少自主探究,合作学习能力的培养,学生很难在生活中形成实际运用语言的综合能力。这与先学后教,以学定教的教学思想是相违背的。
