Sao Paulo, the largest city in South America, evolved in an unordered manner in the suburbs of the city where the flow of people below it was squeezed into the vacuum of infrastructure and services. Approximately one-third of the population of Sao Paulo resides in slums or unstable areas, including within environmental reserves, as is the case in the southern part of the city, near the residence of the dam of the Guaraní Piranca reservoir. The reservoir is responsible for supplying most of the city’s domestic water. Novosibirsk Amari V Park apartment project is located in this residential area. This is a steep terrain. Most of the valley is occupied by irregular self-built houses, and even some of the houses are in dangerous areas, away from public services and suitable streets. The land is owned by the city and has been occupied since the 1980s.
