Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of “intelligent drug monitoring system”. Methods: The “contraindications” in the drug specification linked with the patient’s diagnosis and test values, and censored “contraindications ” as a clue to find preventable adverse drug events. Results: 1 d medication data were randomly selected, including 3536 prescriptions. A total of 53 contraindications related to the test value and 18 contraindications to the diagnosis were examined, and prophylactic adverse drug events occurred due to violation of the “contraindications” 10 cases. CONCLUSIONS: This link approach is viable and can be identified by the system when prescription contraband drugs appear and may reduce the incidence of preventable adverse drug events.
