正电子发射断层显象是现代影象医学的尖端技术,也是本世纪末生命科学的一项重大突破。它可从体外无损伤地、定量地、动态地在分子水平观察代谢物质或药物等在人体内的活动及变化,在显示正常或异常功能方面,具有其它影象学手段所无法替代的优越性。它是诊断心、脑疾病及肿瘤的极灵敏的工具,也有可能成为研究中医药学及寻找有效新药的优异手段。建议尽早引进一套先进成套设备,集中多学科专业人才,迅速开展工作,以提高我国医疗及科研水平。
Positron emission tomography is the cutting-edge technology in modern imaging medicine and a major breakthrough in life sciences by the end of this century. It can be observed from the outside in vitro without damage, quantitatively and dynamically at the molecular level of metabolites or drugs in the human body such as activity and changes in the display of normal or abnormal function, with other imaging methods irreplaceable advantages . It is a very sensitive tool for the diagnosis of heart, brain disease and cancer. It may also be an excellent means of studying traditional Chinese medicine and finding effective new drugs. It is suggested that an advanced complete set of equipment be introduced as soon as possible, the multidisciplinary professionals should be centralized and the work should be promptly carried out so as to raise the level of medical care and scientific research in our country.
