Arau is the most basic production unit of nomadic people such as the Kazak nationality. It is also the most basic and lowest social organization of nomadic people such as the Kazak ethnic group and is the source and carrier of the Kazakh traditional culture. However, this traditional social organization basically collapsed after the 1950s. The concept of the term “阿勒勒” has also undergone a change: from the idea of a traditional social organization dominated by kinship to the concept of a country or a hometown that is mainly geopolitically related. The evolution or change of its concept reflects the change of nomadic society and culture in Kazak from one aspect.
