Jealous women are a typical example of the characters in ancient Chinese literature. Such groups mainly embody the light and shadow of women in the patriarchal society. To a certain extent, this reflects the awakening of the feminine self-awareness in the feudal society, but at the same time it inevitably leads to the tragic fate of ending the good and ending by virtue of its strong external pressure and its own limitations. Based on the case of “vashimiru”, a case study of the voodoo leader in the late Ming Dynasty, this essay analyzes the character traits of the jealous woman represented by Du and explores the reason why the jealous woman image prevailed in ancient China, especially in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Explore the fate of the tragic fate of women in search of self-spiritual homeland and the aphasia and absence of women in patriarchal society.
