This paper mainly expounds the origin, theoretical basis, connotation and characteristics of the experience teaching mode, and analyzes the concrete application of the experience teaching mode in the American University “Foreign Language Teaching Method ” course. Through the survey of students, this paper further proves that the experience-based teaching method is effective in stimulating students’ initiative exploration of different teaching theories and guiding students to construct personal teaching theories. It is worth learning from the teachers in similar courses in China.
