Excerpt: I found two cases of non-fractured and traumatic tibialis anterior muscle necrosis. One case was a 38-year-old Filipino soldier. After long-distance march, there appeared severe pain in front of both lower legs. On both sides of the belly, there was obvious swelling and redness. The extensor force of the toe back disappeared. Both sides of the longitudinal incision at the same time and excision of the fascia, see the tibialis anterior muscle was gray-white, obviously swelling. Under the fascia, the muscle is bulged to the outside of the fascia after incision, and only the superficial calf muscle of the right calf muscle is necrotic after decompression. The left muscle necrosis is complete. Line necrotic muscle resection. Pathological examination revealed necrosis of the same muscle in both lower legs. This case is of great significance in the Army Surgery, and fractures similar to march, so for the time being the author I call it post-march myositis.
