陆羽所撰的《茶经》作为中国茶文化核心典籍,其英译对中国茶文化在西方世界的传播具有极大的价值。本文从信息论视角,对比分析中美两国译者的《茶经》英译本中信息过载现象,从拓宽信道容量和信息删除这两个方面考察两位译者对信息过载处理方法的差异,进而对两个译本的翻译效果进行综合评价,为茶典籍翻译实践提供借鉴,以促进中国茶文化的有效译介和传播。
As the core classics of Chinese tea culture, Lu Yu’s “The Book of Tea” is of great value to the spread of Chinese tea culture in the western world. From the perspective of information theory, this paper comparatively analyzes the information overload in the English versions of The Book of Tea by translators in China and the United States, examines the differences in information overload handling between the two translators from the perspective of broadening the channel capacity and deleting information. The two translations of the translation of a comprehensive evaluation of the translation practice for the tea books to provide reference to promote the effective translation and dissemination of Chinese tea culture.
