Nerve cell adhesion molecule is a cell surface glycoprotein that is mainly expressed in the nervous system. In recent years, it has been found that it plays an important role in the process of nerve injury and repair. It mainly promotes the adhesion between nerve cells, promotes the growth of nerve buds and axons, promotes the formation and regeneration of myelin, and participates in the synaptic plasticity. Therefore, it is receiving more and more attention in the occurrence and development of various nervous system diseases such as spinal cord injury, peripheral nerve regeneration, refractory epilepsy and focal dystonia, as well as potential therapeutic applications.
