The authors tested sera from patients with different HCV genotypes using four commercially available HCV immunoblots to assess whether serological findings vary with the genotype of the infected virus. At the same time, anti-GOR in serum was also examined. Of the 124 patients selected for this study, 28 were hemophilia and 96 were community-acquired infections; 74 were male and 50 were female; and their ages ranged from 12 to 84 years. Anti-HCV antibodies were all positive with the second-generation BLISA, and anti-human immunodeficiency virus antibodies (anti-HIV) were all negative. The genotype of 30 cases was type Ⅰ, 66 cases were type Ⅱ, 10 cases were type Ⅲ and 18 cases were type Ⅳ. Six cases were excluded because they could not be classified. All blood
