It is known that normal CBA mice are self-healing after being infected with P. bergheii yoelii for 15 to 18 days and thereafter become immune. To further investigate the humoral and cellular factors that produce immunity, the authors conducted a series of experiments using immunized mouse serum and passive cell transfer methods. Experimental male CBA / LAC mice (8 to 15 weeks of age) where thymus is removed 7 weeks after birth, and irradiated with X-ray and homologous bone marrow cells are transplanted. Infections were about 17X strain of P. murine parasite via the abdominal route, the specific method of inoculation as well as the number of blood malaria parasites
