Objective: To explore the measures and results of orthodontic pain management intervention in orthopedics. Methods: The patients who underwent orthopedic surgery were divided into two groups. The patients in the observation group were treated with standardized pain management and the control group were treated with conventional orthopedics. The patients in both groups were scored for pain using digital grading. The degree of pain, the satisfaction with pain treatment and the incidence of chronic pain after discharge were compared between the two groups. Results: The score of pain in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group. The satisfaction of the patients with pain was higher than that of the control group. The incidence of chronic pain after discharge in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion: Standardized management of pain can reduce postoperative pain, increase patient satisfaction with treatment, reduce the incidence of pain after discharge and improve overall quality of care.
