极简主义是20世纪下半叶在西方最早出现的一个重要的艺术流派。极简主义设计不仅是指设计简单化,而是指为了能够呈现出设计对象最纯粹、最本质的精华而删除一切多余的修饰;保留材质和功能本身的设计。“无印良品”就是一个延续日本“禅宗”文化的当代极简主义的典型代表。文章就以“无印良品”的设计产品作为切入点,关注当今设计的发展趋势并探讨当代极简主义的设计理念。
Minimalism was one of the first major art schools in the West to appear in the second half of the 20th century. Minimalist design not only refers to the design simplistic, but that in order to be able to show the design of the most pure essence, and remove all unnecessary modifications; retain the design of the material and function itself. MUJI is a typical representative of the contemporary minimalist continuation of the Japanese Zen culture. The article takes the design product of MUJI as an entry point, pays attention to the development trend of today’s design and discusses the contemporary minimalist design concept.
