有学者经过调查得出结论,在博物馆的各类展示材料中,文字说明材料的吸引力远远要低于图像和互动性展品的吸引力。因此,博物馆学者已经认识到了传统的博物馆以“物”为中心的种种弊端,并认为观众在参观博物馆的过程中,如果博物馆能提供给观众“视觉、感官、娱乐、社交、学习”等等各种体验,博物馆教育中所要表达的信息将会在不同方式中得到潜移默化的传递。随着多媒体技术在各领域的渗透与发展,这种全新的展示技术在小型博物馆设计中也得到了充分的运用。
