PROBLEM PROBLEMS Some parameters of the conventional spectral estimation methods have been stipulated in the section “Analysis of the Wave Spectrum” of the “Regulations of Oceanographic Survey” (1975). For example, the sampling step size is 0.5, 0.75, and 1 second; and the degree of freedom is 50 ~ 60 and so on. Due to the limitation of the sea wave data at that time, only the spectral window was compared to the spectral quality. It was stipulated that the auto-correlation method adopted the Hamming window is the best and the periodic graph method used the rectangular window.
