In this paper, we use two newly-winning English novels with autistic patients as the first-person perspective as the corpus, and conduct a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the communicative and narrative language choices of the protagonist. The conclusion is that the language choice is the characterization of the thinking style and its characteristics Mainly in the following five aspects: unintentional non-cooperation in the communication process, unintentional impoliteness, single logic of language in narrative, excessive detail description of sensory experience and difficulties in understanding metaphor. Similar linguistic choices appear frequently in two novels, characterizing the protagonist from ordinary people’s thinking style, shaping the image of autistic patients with abnormal social and cognitive abilities, and strengthening people’s cognition of autism.
