乾安县水字乡大师村四周盐碱地成片。每年春风一起,盐碱面飞扬,部分耕地受到侵蚀。为根治盐碱,一九七二年春季,大师村从外地引进了耐旱、耐寒、耐盐碱、抗逆性强的树种柽柳。在屯南面的一片酸碱度很高(pH9～11)的盐碱地上,通过深翻,整地、坐水试栽了一年生柽柳一万五千多棵。经过精心抚育、适时管理、柽柳幼苗成活率达到百分之九十五,保存率百分之九十,十年生的柽柳高生长达到三米半以上。昔日的不毛之地——白茫茫的盐碱圈,现己柽柳摇曳,野草丛生。每年社员们除在树上
