日本著名考古学家、九州大学名誉教授冈崎敬博士,因病于1990年6月11日在福冈市逝世,享年66岁。冈崎敬教授从中学时代起就开始致力于考古学的学习和研究。从事考古工作后,先后主持了冲之岛等与大陆文化学关系密切的遗址发掘工作。他对日本弥生时代的农业考古、中日古代文化交流和丝绸之路的的研究以及中日两国考古学界的交流等方面,都作出很大贡献。著有《冲之岛》、《东西交涉的考古学》、《隋唐考古》等重要著作。
Okazaki Okamoto, a famous Japanese archeologist and honorary professor at Kyushu University, died of illness at the age of 66 in Fukuoka on June 11, 1990. Professor Okazaki since the high school began working on archeology of learning and research. Engaged in archeology, has presided over the island such as Chong and cultural studies close to the site of excavation. He made great contributions to agricultural archeology in Japan’s Yayoi period, ancient Chinese and Japanese cultural exchanges, the study of the Silk Road and the exchange of archeology between China and Japan. With a “red island”, “negotiation of archeology”, “Sui Tang archeology” and other important books.
