起重机车轮是一种受振动和冲击的变载荷承载零件。要求具有较高的耐疲劳、耐磨损和抗剥落性,不仅要有高的表面硬度,而且还要有一定的淬硬层深度。技术条件规定,车轮直径大于400mm时,车轮踏面及轮缘内侧面的表面硬度为HB300~380,最小淬硬层(至HB≥260)深度为20mm,以保证车轮的使用寿命。我厂车轮热处理最初采用火焰表面淬火,淬硬层深度仅3mm,且表层极易剥落。自1979年改用专用夹具淬火法,淬硬层提高到3.15mm左右,消除了剥落现象,质量有所提高。但是,这种淬火法淬硬层深度达不到设计要求;由于操作上的问题,不该淬火的部位也淬硬了,给机械加工带来困难,工
