In this paper, we report the synthesis and crystal structure of a neutral semi-open cubic hydrocarbon cluster [MoOS3Cu3I (PPh3) 3] · C9H7N · H 2 O containing halogen and triphenylphosphine by the reaction of CuI, (NH4) 2 MoO2 S2, PPh3 and quinoline in DMF solution.The crystal of the cluster belongs to the monoclinic system with the space group P2 1 / c with unit cell parameters of a = 1205 nm and b = 2 86 4 (MoKα) = 1 843 mm-1, Z = 4, Dc = 1492 g-cm-3, F (0 0 0) = 2 92 0, R = 0 84 4 4, Rw = 0 0 94 4, Mr = 1459 71. The structure of the crystal is a twisted cube lacking a Cu2 ... I edge, and its four The vertices are occupied by [MoOS3] 2 -, while the remaining vertices are occupied by one iodine and three Cu atoms, with each Cu coordinating with one PPh3.
