出露于临沧巨型花岗岩带东侧的半坡基性—超基性杂岩体为研究古特提斯起源提供了重要载体。近期在半坡杂岩体变质蛇纹岩或辉长岩中识别出了呈脉状或团块状产出于的钙长石质斜长岩,其锆石U-Pb年龄为290±2 Ma。结合其它区域资料表明,在昌宁—孟连古特提斯主洋盆演化的过程中,半坡—景洪一带曾发育着早二叠世早期打开的弧后盆地。
The Banpo basic-ultramafic complex exposed to the east of Lincang giant granite belt provides an important carrier for the study of the origin of the ancient Tethys. Recently, calcareous plagioclase plagioclase was identified as a vein or mass in the metamorphic serpentinite or gabbro of Banpo complex, and its U-Pb zircon age was 290 ± 2 Ma . Combined with other regional data, it has been shown that during the evolution of the Changning-Menglian ancient Tethys main ocean basin, the back-arc basin opened in the Early Permian has been developed in the Banpo-Jinghong area.
