陈寅恪与贺麟分别从不同的角度肯定“三纲”之于中国现代道德建设的意义。陈寅恪通过对王国维自杀原因的文化学分析,高度肯定王国维为旧道德殉难的精神意义,认为王氏自杀恰恰体现了他“独立之思想,自由之精神”。而且,陈氏认为,《白虎通德论》中的“三纲六纪”的道德伦理思想是中华文化精神所在。贺麟先生认为,“三纲”是“五常”的合乎逻辑的发展,比五常更具有道德伦理的约束力。如果经过自由意志的过滤,“三纲”的绝对伦理要求恰恰与康德讲的“绝对命令”有相通之处。陈、贺二先生对“三纲”现代意义的阐发,具有一定的启发意义,但需要我们作进一步的反思。
Chen Yinke and He Lin affirmed the significance of the “Three Programs” in building China’s modern morality from different perspectives. Through the cultural analysis of the causes of Wang Guowei’s suicide, Chen Yinque highly affirmed the spiritual significance of Wang Guowei’s martyrdom for the old morality. Wang believes that Wang’s suicide precisely reflects his “spirit of independence ”. Moreover, Chen believes that the moral ethics of “Three Kingdoms and Six Dynasties ” in “Bai Hu Tong De De” is the spirit of Chinese culture. Mr. He Lin believes that the “Three Programs” is a logical development of “Five Regularities” and is more ethical and binding than the Five Rules. If, after free-will filtering, the absolute ethical requirements of the “Three Schemes” have exactly the same connection with Kant’s Absolute Commands. Chen and He Er have some significance for the elucidation of the modern significance of the “Three Programs”, but we need further reflection.
