亨斯莱特·巴克莱公司是英国机车制造行业的主要厂家之一．它主要设计制造功率在1000kw以下的各种液力传动调车内燃机车和内燃动车组，其产品不但供应本国市场，而且还出口到世界上许多国家。该公司自1989年开始选用美国卡特被勒公司的柴油机来装备其制造的机车。文中简要报道了该公司已经制造和拟将制造的装用卡特被勒柴油机及其动力换档传动装置的几种调车机车的结构、性能和主要参数。
Huntsman Barclays is one of the major manufacturers in the UK locomotive manufacturing industry. It mainly designs and manufactures various hydraulic drive shunting diesel locomotives and internal combustion EMUs with power below 1000kw. Its products are not only supplied to the domestic market, but also exported to many countries in the world. Since 1989, the company has chosen diesel engines from Carter, the United States, to equip its locomotives. The paper briefly reports on the structure, performance and main parameters of several shunting locomotives that the company has built and is about to make and will be equipped with a Cat Diesel engine and its powershift transmission.
