1988年11月上旬,在加拿大多伦多举行了中加合作水土保持研讨会,我省地理研究所、华南师范大学、德庆县、水电厅、水保办应加拿大国际发展研究中心(简称IDRC)邀请参加了会议;乌拉圭、肯尼亚、斯威尔兰、香港大学、多伦多大学的有关学者、教授也参加了会议。会上重点研讨了广东水土保持问题,我省代表在会上共发表了10篇论文,主要包括治理措施、方针政策、坡面侵蚀、崩岗探讨、水文气象等。与会代表对这次研讨会评价较高,加拿大国际发展研究中心地学工程部负责人安顿博士说:“中加合作是令人满意的,中国广东在治理水土流失,开展科研,确实扎扎实实做了许多工作,去年我到广东德庆等地看过,回来向IDRC官员介绍情况时,只用几张照片说明,就使他们相信中国的水土保持工作确实做得不错,中加合作的项目已取得的成果,完全可以向东南亚、甚至非洲国家推广。
In early November 1988, a Sino-Canadian cooperation seminar on soil and water conservation was held in Toronto, Canada. The Institute of Geography, South China Normal University, Deqing County, the Ministry of Water Resources, and the Water Resources Office of the province were invited by the Canadian International Development Research Center (IDRC). He participated in the conference; related scholars and professors from Uruguay, Kenya, Swellland, Hong Kong University, and University of Toronto attended the conference. The conference focused on the issue of soil and water conservation in Guangdong. At the meeting, representatives from our province published a total of 10 papers, which mainly included governance measures, guidelines and policies, slope erosion, discussion of landslides, and hydrometeorology. Delegates commented on the seminar’s high evaluation. Dr. Anton, head of the Department of Geosciences Engineering at the Canadian International Development Research Center, said: "China-Canada cooperation is satisfactory. China’s Guangdong Province is managing soil erosion and conducting scientific research. It is indeed a solid practice. A lot of work. I went to Guangdong Deqing and other places last year. When I came back to the IDRC officials, I only used a few photos to make them believe that China’s soil and water conservation work is really doing a good job. China-Canada cooperation projects have The results achieved can be fully promoted to Southeast Asia and even African countries.
