The short story “Neighbor Rosicky” wrote about the historical changes of the immigrant community, which embodies Vera Cather’s mobile understanding of the community problem. At the end of the 19th century, the Austro-Hungarian Empire / Czech immigrant community played a role of relief aid for immigrant individuals and provided important assistance for the development of the United States. In the 1920s, the Czech immigrant community was founded on blood (ethnic), geography and spirit Dimensions are on the verge of disintegration. The novel jumps off the national identity, and instead of caring ethics, constructs a community of care ethics that emphasizes emotions, relationships and caring among people, reflecting the writer’s longing for the formation of and different organisms between Czechs and mainstream American society.
