Objective: To study the influence of carotid vulnerable plaque on cerebrovascular events in patients with recurrent ischemic stroke (CAT). Methods: 138 patients were selected as the research object. 58 cases of vulnerable plaque, the observation group, non-vulnerable plaque in 80 cases, as the control group. Comparing the general information of two groups of patients, the incidence of cerebrovascular events and recurrence and death. Results: The age, high-sensitivity CRP, fibrinogen, fasting blood glucose and the level or proportion of hypertension in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, while the levels of diabetes and HDL-C in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group All P <0.05). The incidence of cerebrovascular events in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P <0.05). The recurrence rate of the observation group and the 30-day mortality rate were significantly higher than the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusions: Carotid vulnerable plaque in recurrent CAT patients may affect the occurrence of cerebrovascular events to a great extent, which deserves clinical attention.
