Vanity Fair is a representative work of the 19th century British novelist Saclay. Works based on the nineteenth century British upper-middle class people’s lives. The reason why women’s speech features in Vanity Fair are studied is that this is a female-dominated work. This is rare in literary works. In general, women’s language is more tactful, subtle, reveal modest, cautious means. In Vanity Fair, Emilia is a woman who is well-behaved, obedient and loyal to traditional moral standards. Her language possesses the characteristics of a typical female language. And she is a shrewd, calculating and interpersonal woman, and breaks the secular notion that her language reveals the desire for freedom and equality.
