1933年到1935年由铁道部举办的连续四届铁路沿线出产品展览会以宣传国货为号召、以促进沿线实业发展为动机、以复兴铁路运输事业为最终目的,它向世人展示了铁路部门变被动经营为主动经营的决心,对沿线农工商业的发展,各地商品的流通均有一定的促进作用,加强了铁路部门与社会各界的交流。展览会反映出的各路沿线经济发展差异更引发了时人对中国当时存在问题的反思。
