基于杉木胸径（ Ｄ）生长方程 Ｄ＝ Ｄｍ ｔ／（ Ｋ＋ ｔ），本文进一步提出林分断面积（ Ｇ）的动态方程： Ｇ＝ Ｇｍ ［ｔ／（ Ｋ＋ ｔ）］２ ．新方程表达形式简单，基本参数（断面积极值 Ｇｍ 和生长特征系数 Ｋ）生物意义确切，应用精确度高，能够反映杉木林分断面积随林分年龄增长的变化规律
