Because of the possibility of their handling in visible light, the self-developing Gafchromic EBT films and their successor EBT2 films are widely used for relative photon dosimetry at medical linear accelerators[1-3]. In ion beam therapy, the EBT/EBT2 films can be used to measure the depth-dose distribution and beam parameters[4,5]. Before using these films, the calibration curve of dose vs. film response must be established. For this purpose, the EBT2 films (lot number: F08130902A) were irradiated with mono-energetic carbon ions of 200 MeV/u in this work.
