先秦时期是中国历史上第一次思想解放浪潮,形成了“百花齐放、百家争鸣”的新局面,美学思想也在各种典籍中频频露面,其中以“儒家、道家、墨家”等为首的美学思潮涌现对当时的设计产生了深远的影响,这一时代在艺术设计方面,先秦诸子为后世的艺术设计奠定了一系列原则和方法,如人文关怀和实用为本、器以载道与文质合一等等。代表着先秦诸子百家文化中的儒、墨、道,三者对美学的感悟是中国传统设计美学思想的源头。儒家美学的中和之美,道家美学的无为之美,墨家美学的实用之美,交织形成了内容丰富而独特的中国传统设计美学思想体系。

The Confucianism, Mohism and Taoism in the hundred cultures of pre-Qin dynasties represent the aesthetics of the three schools as the source of Chinese traditional aesthetic thoughts. The neutral beauty of Confucianism aesthetics, the inhumane beauty of Taoist aesthetics and the practical beauty of aesthetics of Mohism have been interweaved to form a rich and unique Chinese aesthetics system of traditional design.
