At present, the pelletizing technology widely used in the world mainly includes the shaft furnace process and the rotary kiln process of the chain machine. In order to reduce the pellet production costs by using a large amount of low-cost fine ore powder, Siemens Metals Technologies has recently developed an innovative pelletizing technology called ring-and-ball system (CPT). Currently, the amount of pellets in the global blast furnace charge shows a gradual increase trend. In order to reduce the purchase cost of raw materials, pelletizing plants use more fine ore powder more, which easily leads to the decrease of pellet strength and the decrease of productivity. In addition, pellets are produced using traditional process routes and the equipment footprint is too large, resulting in some site restricted steel
