The corrosion behavior of Ce conversion coatings on A16061 / SiCp composites was analyzed by metallography and X-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy. The results show that the corrosion of Ce conversion coating in NaCl solution starts with pitting corrosion, and the matrix of pitting corrosion is the enrichment region of SiC particles According to the equivalent circuit of Mansfeld pitting corrosion model, the corrosion degree of Ce conversion coating in NaCl solution was studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).
